My master was old, and wise in the ways of those times and spoke of them
kindly. His stories of the early years, when camels plied the trade routes
from Persia to China laden with riches for riches in return - passed along
to him by his master; captured the spirit of those times and spun the
silken thread of history unbroken. Of slaves and merchants and greater and
lesser gods and the rise and fall of nations and thier ideas. He would
often tell these stories while throwing bowls...
