Some of my potter friends refer to pots that appeal to the general populace
(kitsch) as "blue pots" WHETHER THEY ARE BLUE IN COLOR OR NOT. In this
light, then, a bright, metallic pot from the raku with a copper-penny type
glaze might possibly be referred to as a "blue" pot. [ Other categories of
pots come to mind, also, but shall remain nameless.] When they wish to make
a lot of sales at a show, they sometimes say they are going to load up with a
lot of "blue pots" which in point of fact may be green, black, white, brown,
etc.
