This is just a reminder to those of us requesting a variety of "getting
started" glazes to use first the Glaze Database. Its use has certainly
reduced my requests to Clayart for simple, tried and true glaze recipes.
The comments included are a major help and assist me in understanding
the whole glazing process better, especially when coupled with a good
textbook or two. Thank you to our clay heroes who put it all together
and keep it going. Not a clay foot among them.

Thanks for drawing our attention to what sounds like a great resource, but =

joyce is just the most recent person who has referred to the glaze data
base which i presume is somehow accessible thru clayart. HOW??? I am a
lot newer to cyberspace than to clay/glazes and would really like to check
this out. Is this a really dumb question? If so, i apologize, but i'd
still like to know how to access it Chris in Rockville

Excuse me for asking, but for us beginners would this database be helpful?
I know what I like when I see a treament on a bowl, for instance, but just
looking at a formula doesn't mean a thing to me at this point as I am new
to the field. Where is this glaze database?
Thanks,
Centa
