Thankyou to the persons who responded to my query on the soda bicarb.
I asked the question as in an earthenware test firing I put a blob of
soda bi on a tile.I ended up getting a glazed but highly crazed
surface and there wasn't much of a salting ring around it. It then
proped my original question. Shall try it out and report any
developments.
