Potters and Pot-Lovers in the NYC area, take note:
For 22 years Karen Karnes has been inviting 30 functional potters to exhibit
their work at an annual show to benefit the Old Church Cultural Center in
Demarest, NJ.
Over the years this show has become a very important national exhibition of
functional pots. If you like lots of wonderful pots all packed together in
one small space, make note of these dates: Friday, December 6 (6PM-11PM),
Saturday. December 7th (10AM-6PM) and Sunday, December 8th (12Noon to 4PM).
Last year people began to arrive at 4PM, so be there early on Friday for the
Preview and Champagne Receptions.
The potters will also be present. This year they will include Mary
Barringer, Hayne Bayless. Bob Briscoe, Linda Christianson, Malcolm Davis,
Susan Filley, Angela Fina, Terry Gess, John Glick, Scott Goldberg, Shellie
Jacobson, Randy Jonston, Karen Karnes, Suze Lindsay, Robbie Lobell, Charlie
Malin, Jan McKeachie, Jeff Oestreich, Sandi Pierantozzi,Frank Pitcher, Ellen
Shanking, Mark Shapiro, Rob Sieminski, Linda Sikora, McKenzie Smith, Carmen
Soriano, Will Swanson and David Voll.
Demarest (Bergen County) is just North of the GW Bridge off the Palisades
Parkway (Exit #2 to Alpine), less than 30 mintes from the city. For
