Miami University of Oxford, Ohio will be hosting an Akio Takamori exhibt,
workshop, and lecture in September and October. The exhibit will be in the
Lee Gallery in Hiestand Hall, from September 2 until October 4. The hours
are 8-5 Monday thru Friday. Akio will be presenting a workshop, free and
open to the public October 24 and 25 in the ceramic studio in Hiestand
Hall. Akio will also persent a slide lecture at 7 p.m. in room 100 of the
Art Building on October 24, followed by a reception.
All of the events are free and open to the public. If anyone is interested
in attending I would appreciate being notified via e-mail so we can
prepare.

P.S. Patrick Dougherty, an artist work makes large-scale temporary
site-specfic sculpture will be in residence here at Miami University,
September 8-27. Patrick will be buiding a large scale site specific piece
in the East Gallery of Hiestand Hall using saplings during his residence.
He will present a slide lecture thursday Sept. 26 at 7 p.m. in room 100 of
the Art Building.
