The company I worked for for 38 years is closing the local plant. One of the
interesting aspects of this is that they hold "Employee sales" to get rid of
all the junk accumulated since July, 1949. There have been some fabulous
buys. (eg, five drawer file cabinets, nearly new, $20) .
Now to the Clayart related question-- among the things I picked up (because
I thought my daughter needed it) were two 50 lb bags of sand-blasting beads.
These are labeled as "Soda-Lime glass" with a Chemical Abstract Service No.
of 65997-17-3. (this number is supposed to relate to a file that has a
complete analysis, etc)
The Abstract Service is available on the web, but only by subscription. Can
any of you (Monona?) help me get the analysis of this stuff so I can play
with it with more than a 'Shotgun' approach?
