A newcomer to my evening class was saying how keen she was on
throwing. Me too, I said, it's great, though every so often for a
change I like to make a fat-belly coiled pot or slab something.
To which she replied "Oh, I couldn't do any of that arty-farty
stuff, I'm just not artistic"!
I started trying to explain a little bit, but felt I wasn't really
getting through, so I gave up. Not a born teacher, me.
By the way, the non-artistic shapes she is throwing are not bad.
