Michigan Area Ceramic Artists:
West Shore Community College in northwest lower Michigan (between
Muskegon and Traverse City) is starting a guest artist program. We
would first like to bring in an artist working in clay, either functional
or non-functional. The visit would consist of a month-long exhibit
of the artist's work, an evening slide presentation with Q & A,
followed by a workshop the next day. Additionally, depending on
our finances and availability of the artist, some sort of outreach
with an area high school art class is desired. We envision the
program as a one and a half to two and a half day committment.
Travel expenses and food and lodging would be taken care of with
artists receiving an honorarium.
Deadline is Feb. 26 for applications. 10-20 slides of
current work, resume and proposal of planned workshop.
