Dear Mark,
You mentioned sucess at cone 6 oxidation ash glazes. I would be very
interested in trying some of those glazes if you are inclined to share.
I do pottery primarily as a form of therapy for myself, but have been
exploring cone 6 and 7 in an electric kiln.
Thanks,

Mark, I think a lot of us would be interested in your cone 6 oxidation ash
glazes. Please post them on this bulletin board (or at least post them to
me personally)! TIA Bonnie

To Patrick, Chuck & Leslie:

The little book I mentioned was Ruth Ann Tudball's book. I will give you my
Cone 6 ash glaze. What I would like back would be any tests that work.
Also, I spray all my glazes and for the ash glaze I suggest starting with a
thin coat. At Cone 6, it does not thread but it still looks good and the
glaze is :

Red Art 40
Frit 3124 30
Ash 30
Rutile 4

I've tested many, many tests and this one works great. It also works great
with 2 to 3 percent cobalt.

Please keep me posted on any exciting tests.
