Hi Jan:

If attachment is the problem, use plain, cheap, white vinegar.
Ron Roy says he doesn't even score when using vinegar. I have
been; but tried yesterday some attachments w/o scoring. This
morning they are still firmly attached!!

Best of luck from snowy SW Ontario (brrrr, unbelievable!!)

Hi,

I went to a Tom Coleman workshop in Victoria a couple of weeks ago, and
he attaches handles, spouts, and any other attaching pieces with plain
old water, no scoring! Being the 'lazy potter' type I immediately began
attaching pieces without scoring, and have had no problems with anything
cracking or falling off - literally hundreds of pieces since the
wokshop, not just one or two 'beginner's luck' pieces, and no scratching
messes to clean up. Ya gotta love it! By the way, I use Laguna B-Mix,
and so did Tom.
