I have just recently gotten the rumor that Avery (or a close replacement) is
back available again. Being a woodfirer, that information interests me greatly
.
Does anyone have any info on this "rumor". It came to me about 4th hand, from
another woodfirer. Supposedly someone was at a recent woodfiring workshop "down
south", and the workshop leader said he/she was getting it from one of the
southern ceramics suppliers..... the one identified to me was Highwater. I
called them but they knew nothing about it. Someone at Penland was mentioned as
the source for the second hand relay.... no name attached.
Any help would be appreciated.
PS......... if anyone has had any good luck with a "fake" Avery flashing slip,
I'd appreciate the formula. I've been testing a lot, but nothing really looks
that good in wood fire.
