Lisa -

I have been very busy with my "Ancient Clay" workshop, and have not posted for
quite a few days, but I saw your inquiry for information about places to visit
in our neck of the woods. I thank Bill Aycock on Persimmon Hill for already
giving me a plug, and please do visit. We have an extraordinary facility, with
extensive studios, a large sales gallery, and several exhibition galleries
currently featuring the Tennessee Association of Craft Artists competitive
travelling exhibition. We are only about five miles off I-40. Take the
Highway 56/Smithville exit and head south. You will cross Center Hill Lake on
a big bridge, and right at the far side of the bridge turn right at the sign.
You can't miss it.

You have no doubt seen our "Plea for Help" recently on clayart, and it is true
that our programs are being threatened, but the spirit and energy is excellent
here right now. We have really begun organizing, and we will beat this thing.
We run a vital and active program, and we encourage visitors to stop buy
whenever they are in the area. It is always worth while. If you let me know
when you will be here I will be happy to give you the grand tour. That goes
for anyone else out there on Clayart. Hope to see you soon.
