For Billy, Laura, Martha, Clare, Susan, et al
V.C. BLACK SATIN MATT C/9 Ox & Redtn great in both atmospheres
Kona F-4 20% Custer 20% Dolomite 15% Talc 13%
Whiting 2% Ball Clay 10% Flint 20% total 100%
Chrome oxide 1% Red iron oxide 3% Manganese dioxide 2%
Cobalt OXIDE 3%

You should be reading 7 ingredients totalling 100% plus
4 colorants.

This C/9 version has been used a lot in both oxidation &
reduction; opaque w/ satin surface - sensuous....
Watch your fingerprints when handling glazed pots; wax
bottoms well & clean them well. Put a white glaze over it
for a nice overlap going to pale blue tones.

C/6 - This version has NOT repeat NOT been tested - you
can report back please if you try it. One group member
may already be working on it.

V.C. CR BLACK SATIN MATT C/6 Ox & Redtn.

Mix this test batch, do a test; then add to same batch
Frit 3185 7%. (Or gerstley borate 7% if you dare after
recent posts! frit 1st choice.) This frit will add boron
for more melting at C/6. To see what 10% frit will do,
just add 3% more to the batch & do another test. 3
versions our of one batch - I usually mix 100 gram test
batches. Find one you like and re-percentage the galze back to
100%. (If this is Greek, ask me.)

If anyone wants hard cc incl. UMF, let me know.
The C/9 version is a sure fire favorite glaze so ENJOY!!!
