blue @ ^9-10

I am looking for a dark blue glaze, preferable satin to gloss, for ^9 -
10 reduction. I would like something comparable to Chappell's Floating
Blue, which breaks to brown where thin and lighter blue where thicker and
has a lot "going on" inside when you look closely. (I hope that made
sense.)

Thanks a bunch!

Lisa,

Here's a glaze you could try called Opal Blue,
it's more medium blue with a lighter blue on top. It was one of my
favorites when I had access to a gas kiln....sigh....

Opal Blue ^10 reduction

Neph Sy 1420.00
Dolomite 684.00
zinc ox 99.60
whiting 124.40
kaolin 236.40
flint 1428.00
rutile 200.00
total 4192.40

Doesn't add up properly, but the glaze worked.
It is very pretty.
