Rafael,
While mixing a test batch of the blue hare's fur glaze you posted on
1/9/97, I noticed the recipe is identical with Chappell's recipe for floating
blue, with the addition of 2% bentonite. I just wondered if you happen to
have compared the two, and if there's any difference.

Don :

I have not compared the two. I got the "Blue Hare's Fur" recipe out of a
recent issue of ClayTimes.

I tested it on a white porcelainous stoneware and dark red stoneware.
The tiles were fired to ^ 6 ( ^7 in the sitter).

The results were so nice I adopted as a class glaze. It has become one
of the more popular glazes that my students use.
