In Susan Peterson's book there is an example of a celedon glaze over copper
red in which the recipe for the copper red contains Blythe Frit #2994. Does
anyone know the chemical composition for this frit or where this company is
located so that I might write to them?

As far as I know Blythe was a U.K. supplier. They are
now part of the Cookson Mathey group, and this is the
result of a merger / take over of Cookson by Johnson
Mathey. Cookson is one of my suppliers here in South
Africa and I know there underglazes and stains are
imported from the U.K. I am sure you must have a branch
in the States.
Johnson Mathey, here in SA, make the platinum catylitic
converters for car exhaust systems. As far as I am aware
they export these to several countries, among which is
the States. We are not yet compelled by law to use these
types of exhausts.
If you cannot get hold of them, let me know directly and
I will query my supplier here. Good luck Ralph in PE SA
