I know this is a long shot but I thought I'd at least ask.

Does anyone have copies of any of these books in your library
that you'd like to sell. They'd go to a good home, get read
cover to cover (probably more than once) and be greatly appreciated.

Ceramic Science for the Potter; W. G. Lawrence
The Energy Efficient Potter : How to Save Money by Building Your
Own Fuel-Efficient Kiln; Regis C. Brodie
Ceramic Glazes; Gullen W. Parmelee, Cameron G. Harman

I've checked the local used bookstores and the ones I can find on
the web but no luck.

Thanks,
Richard

Richard:

Contact
The Potters Shop
31 Thorpe Road
Needham Heights, MA 02194

They have all kinds of books, at a discount. I just ordered the Parmelee
glaze book. They have been very helpful. Good luck!

Richard,

Give the Ceramic Arts Library, at 79 East Third St. Corning NY 14830, a
call (1-800-323-6748) or fax (607-962-1636) and get them to check their
inventory or send you a catalogue. I finally got my copy of Parmele and
Harmon's book this year after a long search through them (big thanks to
Brian van Nostrand for the tip).

BTW, I'm also looking for a book, Michael Cardew's "Pioneer Pottery" if
anyone out there has an extra copy.

Richard - have you asked a good used book dealer to make a search for
you? That's how i got Parmalee. It may take a few weeks but the
charge for the serach itself was only $3-5 and they quote you a price
before they have the book sent from where ever it is found.Good luck, Karen Gringhuis
