Hi all,
I am hoping potters in the Boston area can tell me of some local pottery
suppliers I can contact. I will be in Boston next week and wanted to
check if it would be cheaper to buy an extruder while I was in the US vs
here in Canada. Hopefully, without the shipping charges and duty I could
save a few dollars to spend on other fun things.
Thanks everyone,
Anne in Ottawa

Anne,
There should be no duty if the item is made in the U.S.
A problem with equipment purchasing is that so few suppliers actually stock
the items. Sometimes they may have a special deal on a floor model or
demonstrator, though. Even in Canada!
Happy hunting,
