The Broad Ripple Art Fair is now accepting entries! The 1996 BRAF will take
place May 17-18, 1997.
Last year the Broad Ripple Art Fair attracted over 20,000 people and the
average sales per booth was $1500 (although it ranged as high as $10,000).
The September issue of Sunshine Artist magazine rated it as #19 (fine arts)
of the top 200 fairs in the country.

January 17 is the postmark deadline for applications for the 28th annual
Broad Ripple Art Fair!
The Broad Ripple Art Fair began in 1970 to showcase Indianapolis artists
and promote their work. Over the past 28 years it has grown to encompass
more than 200 artists from the U.S. and Canada and draws 20,000 people
over 2 days. Also included in the fair are booths from Indianapolis'
cultural organizations, a children's crafts area, a gourmet food court,
two beer gardens, and live musical entertainment on three stages. The
Fair benefits the Indianapolis Art Center. Participating artists' sales
in 1997 averaged $1500 per booth but ranged as high as $10,000. No sales
commission is taken. Booth rental fee is $135 for a 12' x 12' outdoor
space: artists provide their own tents and display furniture.
