Internationallly known potter, Byron Temple, will come to the Kalamazoo
Institute of Arts this spring. He will demonstrate and share from his many
years as a potter both in the U.S. and abroad. Mr. Temple often fires his
work in salt and wood kilns and will relate his choices of clay and firing
techniques. Don't miss this one!
"I don't like pots that are derivative. I've got to make my own
pots. Sleek, slim, simple lines and vigorous throwing with the marks left
exposed, not trying to cover anything up--that's me, my mentality, what I
call my ceramic intellect." Byron Temple
