i was just talking to Kurt and he said is very careful..he does not make
contact with his skin and is well vented...when he looked over his supply of
soluble salt material for the article he realized all of his purchases where
made in the early sixties...the materials last a long time... from that
original order he has enough material for a life time.

one terrific researcher and in some ways was a clayarter since the
60's...only he answered questions by snail mail... many every year to former
students and local potters...Kurt was one of the lucky people who studied
with Mjaya Grotel at Cranbrook...and did the time with research and care,
