cobalt oxide foodsafe?

Brushing pure cobalt oxide, just mixed with water, without any glaze, onto
bisquefired stoneware and then reduction-firing it to cone 10 gives a kind
of black I do like a lot.

Does anybody know if the result suficiently foodsafe to use it for tableware?
