coleman's black breaking blue at edges

To Molly who's url I've inadvertently deleted:

The only black I see in Coleman's recipe book that mentions breaking
blue is F. Black:

32.69 Custer Feldspar
32.69 Silica
15.38 Whiting
9.62 OM#4 Ball Clay
9.62 EPK Kaolin

8.00 Red Iron Oxide
3.8 Cobalt Carbonate

"Shiny jet black with a slight metallic surface. If it is used thinly
over a light colored stoneware or porcelain it will tend to break blue
over edges. It will shift slightly at cone 10."

I am not familiar with the term "shift slightly" regarding a glaze effect.
Would you please explain. Thanks.
