Color photos on clay:
I am looking for information that deals w/ putting color images on
clay. I need "process" pigments, cyan, magenta and yellow for color
seperations. I will be screenprinting the images on from digital
negatives. I would prefer to have the images fired on, Does anyone knows
where I could get these pigments? Any information on decals would be
helpful, where I could get the supplies to make my own or is there
somewhere I could send my images to have decals made? I am only interested
in 1 or 2 of each image being done.

thanks!!

Sells screenprinting ceramic inks (cone 018)
And other decal materials. Don't know if they offer the process colors.
If they do let me know..ok?
As for one or two pictures...uh, you better do it yourself. The set-up
alone will kill you from a commercial printer.
Artype in Cape Coral Fla does excellent 4 color decals but you will need
to order a bunch.
Good luck

The catalog is $5.00 and the people at Mile Hi are very nice.

Lisa,

Duncan EZ Stroke underglazes seem to silkscreen nicely. Glaze stains will
work as well. You would have to decide for yourself which color works for
your purposes. Are you going to output the separations with a halftone
pattern? Silk screen seems rather labor intensive for just 1-2 prints per
image. There are other ways to get a color image on a piece of clay, it
just depends how far down the rabbit hole you want to go.

I forgot to add that the EZ Strokes were cut with some glycerin.
