My condolences to Emily, but we computer owners should be aware that it is
possible to buy "valuable item" insurance on our homeowners/rents insurance
policies for our prized (and expensive) delicate equipment (like computers
and cameras and musical instruments) that are not used in business. This
can cost about 10% of the value of the item being insured, but it can
provide for replacement/repair in the event of accidents--such as dropping
the item or spilling something on it. Typically theft and fire are part of
the usual homeowners/rents policy. I don't sell insurance, but this is an
option we should be aware of when purchasing insurance. Bonnie in
