I am currently working on research project looking at the use of
computer
technology in the design and production of architectural ceramics. This
project includes the conducting of case studies of artist-crafts people
and
designer makers that creatively use CAD/CAM technology as part of their
practice.
If anyone is, or knows someone who is, using CAD/CAM tehnology in their
practice (esp. architectural ceramicists) I would love to hear from
them.
Many Thanks

I am using a computer as a design tool not using cad program. What I do is
pottery decoration not related to what you want I feel , but I would be
interisted in your findings for my research in computer photographic
techniques in clay. Please contact me direct.

I have been using 3D programs for several years making architectural
ceramics. Not used for the production of the works though, but for
visualizing and planning only. I'm not exactly using CAD construction programs,
but mostly Caligari trueSpace on the PC. I started using it as a tool to
be able to visualize a building, with the correct dimensions etc to better
understand it, walk around in it etc..
A 1:20 cardboard model isn't the same thing, and it's very much slower to
change parts of it too..
