What are the health hazzards to the potter from barium? Can it be
absorbed through the skin & lungs? Is it released from finished work
after being fired? There were several recent postings on this topic & I
may have missed some. I would really appreciate accurate information &

My texts say absorption through the skin is slight but high through
breathing and injestion.
Glazes can leach so the danger from fired glazes would be through injestion.
What we don't seem to know is how much does it take.
Symptoms can include mucle spasms, irreglur heart beat etc. See Artist
