To those of you who fire ^6, I have tested several glazes found in the past
several weeks on Clayart. I fire in an electric kiln with a kiln sitter and
used the following recipes on brownish stoneware :
PIKE'S OATMEAL (purple)
CUSTER FELDSPAR 37.3
GERTSLY BORATE 12.7
DOLOMITE 6.4
TALC 13.6
KAOLIN 4.5
FLINT 22.7
ZINC OXIDE 2.7
COBALT OXIDE 3.3% This glaze resulted in a semigloss opaque
purply fat glaze
EMILY'S BLUE another semi matt opaque purply glaze
CUSTER SPAR 34

OM# 4 BALL CLAY 11
TALC 14
FLINT 10
DOLOMITE 6
ZIRCOPAX 4
COBALT CARB 3
Randy's Blue purple opaque where thick, semi opaque where thin nice
accent color

SANA'S GREEN shiny, pale green semi opaque breaks nicely on edges

I just unloaded the kiln and have done no durability or other testing. Just
