cone 7, cone 8

Does anyone else fire to either of these cones in oxidation?

Because I mix my own clay bodies, I have found cone 8 to be the perfect
maturing temperature for several of them. But there aren't many glazes
available for cone 8. Lots of cone 6 and lots of cone 9-10.

If anyone is willing to share cone 7 or cone 8 glazes with me, I would be
grateful.

Thank you,

If you can see a copy of Ceramic Reiew No 158 March April 1996, you will
see an article, A Glaze Rainbow. This details some 435 glazes with
illustrations which were fired to cone 8.
The article uses a base glaze of:-
Potash Feldspar 32.8
China Clay 15.6
Talc 21.2
Whiting 11.5
Zinc Oxide 3.0
Quartz 15.9
To which are added in a triaxial blend of 15 test tiles,Titanium Oxide
and Tin Oxide. Max Titanium Oxide of 10% and Tin Oxide 5%.
Each set of 15 tiles has a different % colouring oxide with 29 sets in
all.
If you are unable to get sight of this journal I may be able to help if
you contact me direct.
