Hi all from a lurker,
IN answer to Linda's question,Cone Art Kilns makes a double wall series
with 2.5" of brick and 1" of block insulation. The 10 cu. ft. has a
3" thick lid and floor and the oval has a 4" thick combination of brick
and block insulation in the lid and floor.
I hope my answer is not considered too commercial.
please save me a button.

I'm now considering purchasing the 36" wide 27" high oval Cone Art =3D
Electric kiln.
Have any of you used this kiln? I'd appreciate your feedback on Cone Art =
=3D
Kilns and this oval one in particular.
Thanks to those who sent me comments about my other kiln inquiries.
I'd sure like to see one of these in the flesh BEFORE I purchase it. =3D
Does anyone know of one in the Salt Lake City area?
Cheers,

I've got the next size down, 23x27 round kiln.

It was absolutely a great buy. I fire it to cone 9 1/2 regularly, and
so far (75 glaze firings and +/- the same bisque) I have not had to
replace the elements. I have had to replace the thermocouples very
recently, but they're known not to like Cone 10 very much. The bricks
still look in great shape.

I have found it easy to program and fire and so far all my firings
have taken about the same amount of time.

I actually wish I had the one you're looking at as mine is really not
quite big enough.

Let me know if you have any further specific questions.

Robert
