Sorry, folks that was to "avoid any excess air bubbles."

Sheryl,

I've been using USG #1 casting plaster for my molds. Do you
know what the difference is? Is potters plaster harder or softer?
What are the advantages of potters plaster? Where would I get
potters plaster and what would it cost? I usually buy my plaster
100#s at a time but could get more if need be. Right now I am
paying $9.00 per 100# bag at a local wholesale building supply.

I am open to anyone with answers on this.
