Announcing the creation of a new gallery devoted to exhibitions of ceramics
at Cedar Valley College. The college, a part of the Dallas County Community
College District, is located in the southern part of Dallas county in the
town of Lancaster, Texas. The gallery is located in E building between room
114 the ceramics studio and room 115 the campus Police office.
The inaugural exhibition is wood-fired and salt-fired stoneware and
porcelain by Sam Clarkson. Mr. Clarkson is a graduate of Pomona College in
California. He currently works as an Instructional Associate at Brookhaven
College and also teaches at the Craft Guild of Dallas. His work has been
shown in regional, national, and international juried exhibitions across the
