if you,re visiting the san francisco bay area (benecia and beyond) try to
include a visit to trax gallery, berkeley ca. a wonderful space above the
studios of sandy simon and robert brady. all functional ceramics. potters
like randy and jan johnstone, wayne brannum, jeff oestreich, linda
christiansen, joe bennion and so on. upstairs a gallery w/ current show.
downstairs a sales room with works of the above mentioned (and possibly
mispelled potters) and many more.1306 3rd. st (right ON the railroad
tracks). open saturdays 10-5 or call for an appointment if you can"t make
saturday.
leslie ceramic supply co is just a couple of blocks away too!

diane - in addition to the trax gallery/studio, i would recommend stopping
at the a.c.c.a. gallery on shattuck in berkeley. its a real nice slice of
bay area pottery. i'm not positive of the name of the cross street but it
is 8-10 blocks north of university ave. its and easy to spot light brown
brick corner shop.

there are some potters located a block or two from the berkeley potters
guild (jones street). if your interested i am able to send email addresses
for you to see how available they are during your visit to town.
