Hi Bob
I use the didymium glasses for making glass beads. It allows me to
look right through the flame of the mapp gas to see the bead.
I have heard that you can use the glasses to look at the cones but I
have not tryed it yet as i don`t have a cone 10 kiln yet.

Didymium glasses are not recommended for looking into a hot kiln.
