Before doing this check the amps of kiln. Dryers are usually 30 amps. If
it was a stove receptable it would likely be 50 amps and possibly okay for
your kiln. They may look similiar but wire sizes are not. Take care. M.

Hi!
I run my Blue Diamond TM-18 off of my stove receptacle. I have no problem
with it, but I tried a larger kiln on that line and the breaker kept kicking
off. Just a tidbit of info.

Thanks to everyone who has written with advice about the electrical concerns
of switching a dryer plug to a kiln. I will most deffinitely call an
electrician to have things in proper order before going ahead with the kiln.
