We use the second one at cone 6 in reduction, and it gives a beautiful
bright purple. I have also done a series of color variations on the base
glaze replacing the cobalt. The most promising of those was the one using
6% rutile. It gave a warm tan-yellow. The outstanding quality of the glaze
(aside from the purple, of course) is the smooth texture and its reliability.
