Hi,
Just a quick question about whether gum and Epsoms salts work together or if
they work against each other.
In our Mason stains overglaze mixtures (using the Plainsman recipe), the
mixes become quite hard and cement-like if only gum is added. We now
usually add a tiny amount of Epsoms salts and they mix up all right, but
will smudge. Will adding gum back in change their mixing abilities?
We do have both solutions in some of our glazes, so it must work somewhat.
Thanks, the technical help on Clayart is invaluable.

Autumn mentioned the "Plainsman's Receipe" for mason stains used as over
glazes. What is this recipe and how do you use the resulting mixtures?
