In the U.S. the traditional and most dependable supplier of plastic resins
and cloths are Plastic Suppliers, look under 'sheet, rod, and tube', the
plastic laminate suppliers carry something else. The cloth comes in
different weights and can usually be bought by the yard or foot.
For an organic substitute, try burlap. It can be purchased at most yardage
goods stores, and be gotten as used burlap bags/sacks in some areas. Often
the weave of burlap sacks is too tight to make a good reinforcing material.
It is also a lot less toxic to burnout in the kiln.
