I need some help. I fired a figurine of Nefertiti with antique brass
glaze (cone 04) and it came out black. I put 3 full coats on the piece.
Was that too many? Is there a way to correct this?

I, too, have had this problem with antique brass glaze. I have previously
used Duncan's antique brass and achieved a lovely, bright result, but
since then, in 3 different kilns I have had the same problem with the
glaze turning dark brown. Are you using Duncan glaze too? There might be
a problem with the glaze itself. I'll be interested in any insights on
this as well. thanks Jeni
