free firing and glaze e-zine

updated fri 24 oct 97

Hi folks,

I just received the first edition a free e-zine
that gives pointers and tips on firing techniques
and glazes. If the first issue is any indication
the content is intelligent and well-presented.

You can subscribe at: http://www.kilnman.com

The publishers also allow subscriber input and
questions.

Hope this helps.

Cheers from Bend, Oregon where the snow is
just starting to coat the mountains (yipee!)

Folks, I visited the site given- and my comment is only-:

Why didn't they wait till there was something there?

There were over twenty different internal links in a list to the left of
the screen, and almost ALL were either "file not found:, "Under
construction" a note telling what was supposed to be there, or an offer to
let the viewer subscribe to a free "e-zine".

To quote (miss-quote, really) a famous commercial- "Where's the meat"

The links refer to kilns, used kilns, a kiln expert (40 years), dryers,
used dryers, a dryer expert, how to get the most (Almost free!) from
reworking a used kiln, but-
Only the subject is given- no data or facts, and, except for the offer of a
free "ezine" ( to be published in December) nothing of any substance. Not
even a name to go with the claims.

Why, oh why, couldn't they have waited until there was something there to
tell us about it?
