FREE KILN IN LOS ANGELES
An email was posted last week about a kiln being given away
in Culver City (Los Angeles). The kiln is still available.
The dimensions of the kiln are:
OUTSIDE: 41.5" deep, 40" wide, 56" high
INSIDE: 31" deep, 26" wide, 24.5" high
The kiln is freestanding, updraft, with four burners.
If you are interested, please call Nancy Jordan-Smith (310) 398-7348
ASAP. The kiln needs to be moved this weekend (March 31).

I heard this at a workshop this past week-end. A 10 Foot X 12 Foot Car Kiln
is being given away by a state run facility in Denver around Washington and
58th streets. They would like to get rid of it in three weeks. That's all
I know about it.
The person to contact is Vicki at (303)296-2400 ext.103.

I have a Paragon one chamber kiln. Interior chamber measures 17 1/2" x 18"
It has shelves, but it needs some TLC. It does not have elements in it and
the electircal cord is off, but I have it. I got this free from a friend who
didn't work in clay anymore.
So this is free to anyone who will come and get it! If you can wire a kiln
this will be perfect.
I am in Delaware County Pa. 20 minutes south of Phila.

If someone decided to take on the project of this kiln I have just had a
really good experience having a kiln rebuilt by Mike Swauger in Front Royal
VA. His email is Swauger@rma.edu and his phone is 877-545-6362. Not a too
bad drive, certainly a pretty one from Phila. area. Also his wife's
porcelain work is simply wonderful. Mike just put new elements in an old
kiln for me, added a kiln sitter and whatever else it needed for under $600.
So, I have a reliable and safe kiln, not for free but for $600. I'm happy.
It is so hot! 70's already!
