functionalist theory: evolution and extinction

Athough this idea appeals to me. It does not take into account the
evolution of aesthetic theory developed by "Eastern cultures". The
influence of these ideas on our thinking, especially in the field of
ceramics, has had a profound effect. I like to think of two trees whose
branches are intermingling. I am also optimistic that these are fruit
bearing trees. Whose offspring are, even now, growing beneath the branches
of their parents.
