geil kiln or west coast kiln

We, at Southwestern College in San Diego area, are looking to purchase a new
gas kiln. We can get a Geil for all of the money we have allocated or we can
purchase a West Coast AND a new electric kiln for about the same money. Both
gas kilns are in the 24 cu. ft. range. I have fired an older West Coast kiln
on a few ocassions and have had mixed results with the reduction. I also
found the kiln some what hard to load. I have no experience with the Geil but
have had good feedback from people who have fired this kiln. I am very
concerned that we have an even firing kiln with good reduction, (in the
stoneware range) throughout. Any comments would be appreciated. Thank you,
