Hi out there,
Does anyone know of a source for the grabber pad material? I would like to
buy enough to apply it to an 18 inch handmade wooden disk for the purpose
of trimming larger platter forms. Since the grabber isn't made in disks
this large, I need to do something. (For other, smaller things I still use
and love my G. grip.

You don't need a larger grabber pad. Simply let your pot rest on the
gripper pad with the edges hanging over. It is easy to trim that way, there
is no risk of indenting the bottom of the pot from the pressure of the
trimming tool, and it is easy to feel the thickness of the edge without
moving the platter. At least it works for me -- my grabber is 14 inches,
and it has been great for trimming those larger platters. If you get a LOT
larger, however, maybe you DO need to find that material!
