Hi folks,
'Fraid my brain cramped again and I've forgotten which software is for
which platform. Hyperglaze and Insight are the ones I remember, but one is
for Mac and t'other is for IBM PC, right? Which is which? I have an IBM
PS/1. Are there any other choices for glaze calculation software? (besides
manual calculation - I'm too slow) Where can I get whichever is right for my
PC? TIA.

I use Insight on both pc (run from dos on PS/1) and mac; different versions
of course but you have both options. Contact tony hansen, email
thansen@mlc.awinc.com, who is the creator of the program. He works out of
Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada. He has a BBS and web support system for
those who use his programs.

Kat,
HyperGlaze (the easy to use glaze software) runs on Macintosh compatible
computers. The current rumor is that Apple is rewriting the software that
HyperGlaze uses to run and will release a version that should also run on
Windows computers sometime next year. Insight runs on DOS and Macintosh.
There are two free glaze calculation programs for DOS on the CeramicsWeb,
with one more (a new one by Richard Zakin) to be added later this week. The
free programs obviously have their limitations, but they are free.

Kat-- by ALL means- get Insight-- its the PC (and Clone) version. (And- get
the companion book, too.)
If my memory serves me- (and that is an iffy proposition, these days) there
is a workshop
somewhere in the Northwest this summer on Insight .
