I recently test fired three of the glazes from clayart and had pretty
good results.
>Woo Blue ^9-10
>Custer Spar 42
>Flint 27
>Whiting 18
>Ball Clay 13
>Total Base 100
>Red Iron Ox 4
>Rutile 4
>Bentonite 1
This was fired on a porcelain vase with a stepped neck. It ran some on
the neck to the shoulder. It was a marvelous blue with white streaks and
some dark red. On the body of the vase it was thinner and was a glossy
brown with some blue, all in all a keeper.
>Green Matt ^10
>Kona Spar 40
>EPK 20
>Talc 20
>Dolomite 20
>Total Base 100
>Cobalt Carb 1
>Chrome Ox. 1
>Granular Rutile 2
This was fired on a white stoneware cup and was a nice light green matt,
worth experimenting with oxide designs. Both of these were fired in a
gas kiln by others so I can't tell the firing schedule.
>Gun Metal raku
>Gert Borate 3 parts
>Neph Sy 2 parts
>Copper Carb 3 parts
>Red Iron Ox. 3 parts
Another successful firing, needs to be poured on, most raku matts are
better thin, not this one. Thanks to those who contributed these and
other glazes!

I also tried the Woo Blue on a white clay. While the blue wasn't intense,
there was nice variation in color. This glaze looks almost identical to the
Laguna "Brown-Blue" cone 10 glaze they sell in bulk. (Just in case anyone is
interested in this thread and doesn't mix their own glazes) Also, I tried the
grass green and while it might be good for St. Patricks day, I was hoping for
more teal and depth. Anyone else have success with teal?
