To everyone, thank you for the good yellow glaze recipies. If anyone has
any others they would like to share, please pass them on. Now I have a
new question. I am looking for the perfect cone9-10 high fire green
glaze. One that has
depth, good medium green color, and that is dependable and does't run,
but works good in reduction. I am in urgent need of one. Thanks ever so
much. JR alpine, TX.

Jennifer,
We used to get a real neat green glaze by putting our
clear glaze over a layer of Albany Slip. But then...
Well, try any high iron glaze under your clear being
careful not to make too thick an application of either,
especially the first one. I would imagine that almost
any albany substitute would work ok. This technique
resulted in a glaze with alot of depth and variety
for us.
