I just bought about 500 bottles of stains, bottles and glazes from the lady
that I bought a kiln from. I have no idea how to use them. Here is my
questions:
When do you use underglazes?
How do you use underglazes?
When using molds, at what temp do you fire them at?
Can I use a ^06 glaze with a different cone clay?

I'd appreciate any help.
Thanks you.

You use underglazes on greenware--usually 3 coats, but check the
directions. Greenware is usually fired at 03 or 04 if you are going to
glaze, 05 or 06 if you are staining---but you can fire 03 04 if your are
staining too. The 06 on the glaze is the temperature that you fire that
particular glaze too and your bisque should be at least one cone hotter
i.e. 05 or 04

Hope this helps.
