Dear Clayart readers,
Awhile back I was attending a crafts fair and was totally enamored by a
particular glaze on a porcelain bowl. The artist told me it was called
"Goolsby Blue" a grainy purple/blue gloss and very runny. He wrote down the
name and not the recipe (of course), but he did tell me the recipe was very
common. My professor has not heard of it and I've scoured every resource I
can find, but haven't been able to get it. Currently I'm trying to develop a
similar glaze, but haven't had a chance to test using a ^9 translucent white
glaze with Cobalt Carb. and Manganese Carbonate colorants. If anyone has the
recipe I'd love to have it, otherwise I'll keep experimenting; something I
need to do anyway.
Also my girlfriend signed me up on this clayart list and don't get me wrong
I love it, but don't have the time to deal with up to 50 extra pieces of mail
a day. We've tried the commands given to get off (signofff clayart, etc.) to
no avail. Could someone please help me get off so I can sign on under a
different screen name and direct them to a folder (just email me so as not to
clog the list).... I've got pots to throw!
Thanks In Advance
Brian
